Healed: God's Promise for the Brokenhearted

Healed — Psalm 147:3

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
— Psalm 147:3

Pastors get hurt too. Leaders get hurt too. The faithful, tithing, ushering, interceding, always-there people get hurt too — and too often, we bandage everyone else’s wounds while ours quietly bleed.

But here is the truth I need you to hear: God does not only use broken people. He heals broken people.

Psalm 147 doesn’t say He explains the wound, or that He rushes you past it. It says He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds — that’s tender, hands-on, close-up work. Healing is not always instant, but it is always personal. He knows exactly where it hurts, and He is not in a hurry to leave that place.

Whatever wounded you — betrayal, disappointment, church hurt, family hurt, the quiet ache of being misunderstood — bring it to Him again this week. Not to perform healing, but to receive it. You don’t have to be okay to be used by God. But you are allowed to be whole.

🤲 A Prayer

Father, You see the wounds I don’t talk about. Bind them up with Your gentle hands. Make me whole — not just useful, but healed. Amen.
