“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9
There is a kind of tired that sleep does not fix. It is the tired of carrying more than you were meant to carry, of smiling through the serving while your own heart quietly whispers, “I am not enough for this.”
I know that place. I have stood in it with a full calendar and an empty tank, wondering how I could pour out for everyone else when I barely had anything left for myself. And that is exactly where grace meets us — not after we get stronger, not once we finally have it all together, but right here, in the weakness we try so hard to hide.
When Paul pleaded with the Lord to remove his thorn, God did not answer with an explanation. He answered with a promise: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Grace is not God overlooking your weakness. Grace is God stepping into it. It is His strength arriving precisely where yours runs out, His presence filling the gap you have been trying to fill on your own.
This week, I want you to stop measuring yourself by what you can still manage. Your worth was never in your capacity. You do not have to be unbreakable to be usable, and you do not have to be impressive to be loved. The same grace that saved you is the grace that sustains you — today, in this season, with this thorn, in this tired body and tender heart.
His grace is sufficient. Not barely sufficient. Not sufficient someday, once you are better. Sufficient right now, for the conversation you are dreading, the ministry load you are carrying, the healing that is still unfolding, and the quiet prayer you can barely put into words. Let Him be strong where you are weak. That is not failure. That is faith.
🤲 A Prayer
Lord, I bring You my weakness without apology and without pretending. Let Your grace be enough for me today — enough for what I face, enough for who I am, enough for where I still hurt. When I am weak, show me that You are strong in me. Amen.

Where have you been trying to be strong in your own strength this week? Write it down honestly, then write 2 Corinthians 12:9 beside it — and ask the Lord what it would look like to let His grace carry that place instead.
