Kept in Perfect Peace: Trusting God with Your Mind

by Jummie on Oct 26, 2026

Kept — perfect peace

Kept — perfect peace

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
— Isaiah 26:3

Peace is not the absence of trouble. If it were, none of us would ever have it.

Real peace — the kind Isaiah calls “perfect peace” — is not found in calm circumstances. It’s found in a kept mind. A mind that has decided, in advance, who it trusts. When your thoughts want to run to the worst case, the what-ifs, the replay of what they said and what you should have said — peace is the decision to bring your mind back to Him.

Here’s what I’ve learned: God doesn’t always calm the storm first. Sometimes He steadies you in the middle of it. That’s what “kept” means — held, guarded, preserved. You are not barely surviving; you are being kept.

This week, when anxiety knocks, don’t just fight the feeling — fix your mind. Speak the Scripture out loud. Remind your soul who is keeping you. Perfect peace isn’t a personality trait; it’s a promise for the trusting.

🤲 A Prayer

Lord, keep my mind steady on You. When my thoughts wander into fear, gently bring them home. I trust You — be my perfect peace. Amen.
